Indiana’s WIOA State Plan (Draft)
The U.S. Department of Labor requires states to submit a unified or combined State Plan that outlines a four-year strategy for the state’s workforce development system. Additional updates and modifications to the State Plan are submitted to the DOL every two years. Each section of Indiana's 2024-2027 Unified State WIOA Plan is available for review and public comment on the Governor's Workforce Cabinet website, AVAILABLE HERE. Two waiver requests, as well as expected performance levels for the WIOA Core Programs, are also contained within. Public comment is available through February 22, 2024.
Previous versions of Indiana's WIOA State Plan can be accessed on the WIOA State Plan website.
Local Four-Year Plans
WIOA requires Workforce Development Boards (WDB), in partnership with the local chief elected official, to develop and submit a comprehensive four-year local plan to the state for approval. The plan must address current and future strategies and efficiencies to advance the continuing modernization of the workforce system and the creation of a customer-centered system. It must also support the strategy described in the State Plan and be consistent with the State Plan.
